Sunday School classes in English

There are programs for adults, high school and grades K-8.

Adult Sunday School classes

Bible Study: John Spang and Lorraine Farmer will lead a Bible-based class, which runs through May 20. People are welcome to join at any time. In February they are looking at obscure Bible characters in the book of Acts.

Children's Sunday School classes

Our preschool and Kindergarten class, for children 3 years old through Kindergarten, centers on stories from the Old and New Testaments. The children sing songs, listen to a story, do a craft, and take home a story card each week.

Our first- and second-grade class members also sing songs and do crafts each week. These children are learning to read, so their class time includes both hearing and reading stories from the Bible.

Our third- through fifth-grade class members class sing songs, play games, and read stories from the Bible. They also work on activities and projects related to their lessons each week. They are starting to think about how to live as children of God.

For preschoolers through eighth-graders, we are using Sunday school curriculum materials called Dwell, published by Faith Alive Resources (for more information about these materials, please visit www.faithaliveresources.com).

Youth classes

Our middle-school class is for children in sixth through eighth grade. This year their lessons focus on the church and God’s kingdom. They read scripture, dramatize ideas from the lessons, write responses to the scripture readings, and participate in other group learning activities.

This year, our high-schoolers are doing an overview of the New Testament. In February they will study the book of Acts.
